Mindful Mover Classes teach secular mindfulness techniques to help children cope with strong emotions.

What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is both a state and a practice. You can show mindful qualities in your daily life and you can also intentionally practice mindfulness techniques. By practicing formal exercises, mindfulness can become a healthy habit.

The two major aspects of mindfulness are paying attention and equanimity.  Through paying attention to our emotional and physical body, we can become aware of our needs and habits.  The equanimity brings an overall feeling of kindness and understanding to our awareness.

(To learn more about Mindfulness we highly recommend the Mindful Schools online courses.)
