Write/Draw 2 - Emotion and Thoughts
“Imagine that you just had a disagreement or fight with a friend. Close your eyes and imagine how this feels.”
“Can you write or draw how your body might feel?” Eg. Draw a body with a red face, or sick tummy.
“Can you say or write down what thoughts might be going on in your mind?” Eg. “nobody likes me”, “that person is always stupid”.
Lead a share of what thoughts might happen when you are having a fight with a friend.
“Hands up who has had thoughts like this before? Me too, it’s completely normal. Do you know that when you have a strong emotion that your thoughts can go into overdrive? Do you know that not all thoughts are true? Next time you have a strong emotion, listen to your thoughts, if they are going fast and strong just know that maybe they are not true facts”
